Welcome to My Website

I am a historian and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History at Harvard University.

My research focuses on the intersection of religious, racial, and national ideologies in the Americas, and I am particularly interested in the history of Protestantism in the Spanish Caribbean and Haiti.

In my book manuscript, Converting Hispaniola: Religious Race-Making in the Dominican Americas, I examine American moral ideology in the Dominican Republic during the late nineteenth-century.
